Easy Gardener-weedblock TR24912-30 24 inch Red & Brown Tree Ring

I purchased ten of these to go around my young trees. The first year we put down weed fabric and then mulch. Weeds quickly grew and when my husband mowed the mulch would end up all over the yard along with chunks of the expensive weed fabric. The tree rings aren't perfect but I prefer them to the mulch.They were easy to install. I had to cut the hole bigger for a couple of trees, just used a pocket knife. My husband can easily mow over them and they stay put. The downside is grass and weeds will start growing through it the first year. We have found if you go out once a month and pull the weeds after a HEAVY rain, the weeds are easy to pull and its not much of a problem. We have had them 3 years now and they still look good. I think this year we will put weed fabric under them as an additional barrier.
