I purchased this Chicken of the Sea crab meat this time to make Crab Imperial. I love crab, but I wasn't sure with this recipe that my husband would be on board (get it? goofy boat reference.) I was really happy that he enjoyed the recipe, and he specifically mentioned the taste and the texture of the crab. I'll make the recipe again and use Chicken if the Sea pasteurized crab meat again.

The star of the dish.

I had to try half dozen variaties of crab to find this brand and packaging. I have been buying 2 cans a year now for a dozen years...1 for gumbo and 1 for crab cakes. Both dishes require the best crab. The crab cant be hidden behind seasoning...it must be the star of the show so I buy the best.
