Every boat owner needs one

Love this thing! The AnchorBuddy makes pulling up to shore so much easier. Drop the anchor, tie off, and the bungee keeps the boat floating out instead of bumping the beach. Super simple, works exactly like it should. If you beach your boat a lot, you need one of these.

Great for anchoring and bungee beaching.

Bungee anchor rope is very good helping the anchor stay in play in windy or rough conditions. This also is terrific for bungee beaching. Using a static rope to the beach and the bungee anchor allows for pulling to the beach or pulling the boat back to the beach. While not drawn toward the shore is floats safely in deeper water. This is a good quality product for a great price.

Great alternative to beaching your boat

Works great instead of beaching my tritoon. My lake has a sandy/muddy bottom so I only have to use a small fold-up grappling type anchor. I combined the Anchor Buddy with a piece of PVC coated chain (also from Walmart) to hook to the anchor, and made 5' piece of rope with a loop in each end to then attach to the Anchor Buddy to a cleat just to keep the metal clip away from the boat. Works as advertised: Drop anchor 30-50 feet from shore, power forward, shut off and raise motor while drifting in, jump off and hook another rope to front of tritoon and tie to tree, get everything off the boat, untie and Anchor Buddy pulls the boat back off the shore where I then retie to a tree to hold it. When we're ready to go, pull the rope in and tie off, load up, untie and jump on to be pulled back out to deeper water to fire up and go. Now, when the surf and wake boats get going the waves can wash the boat toward shore so you have to keep an eye on it, or when the wind really gets going since I have a full top on my tritoon it can blow in. I would not use this to secure the boat if there are things it can hit close by. If just anchoring out away from shore the Anchor Buddy is also helpful in rough water because it absorbs some of the shock you can get at the end or a regular anchor rope when a wave hits. I've recommended this to many people, especially those with boats that can't be beached without fear of damage, or that need to be anchored in deeper water while "beaching" because of fixed props etc.
