Great for new pump, can use old hose.

perfect for what it is. this is NOT meant to connect a 1 1/8" hose to another 3/4" hose, which is initially what i thought it was for. instead, the larger side of this reducer is for plugging into an aerator pump outlet (that is sized for 1 1/8 hose) so that you can use your 3/4 hose. see the picture and it'll make more sense. Warning, this will reduce the flow of the pump by 25% or so. but that was a better option than replacing all the 3/4 hose for 1 1/8 hose in the boat. walmart had the best price at the time of review! thanks
