I can see now!
This type of bulb is recommended for my chrome arc floor lamp. My lamp has holes at the top of dome and the silver part of this bulb allows the light to refract brightly through the holes onto my ceiling. When my previous chrome tip bulb stopped working I put a regular light bulb in my lamp. I instantly noticed a decrease in the lighting. A month after using the wrong light bulb, I couldn't take my bedroom being dark any longer. I ordered a set of 3 of these bulbs from Wal-Mart. com. I am happy that I did because my bedroom is much brighter! If this bulb is recommended for your lamp
