No it doesn't smell amazing, it's ok, but not perfume like );but it's the only low priced shampoo (the matching conditioner too) that leaves my hair fresh and clean but also able to comb thru it since my hair is ridiculously overprocessed from home bleaching. leaves my hair soft, manageable.
