The P. Desage translation!

If you're looking for the P. Desage translation, here it is! Wordsworth Classics reprints it. Even the current Everyman's Edition isn't Desage, and they originally released it. I don't know why anyone would specifically want it, unless you are studying translations of this novel. I recommend the Oxford World's Classic for a first read. (As for me, I thought Jules Verne was an English author until recently! So I am fascinated by what translators did to his text.) Now the book itself doesn't say what translation it is anywhere between the covers or on the back. An online bibliography says: "Around the World in Eighty Days (1926, Dent %26 Dutton, trans. P. Desages) - reprint: (slightly edited by Peter Costello) London: Everyman, 1994; 1994, London: Wordsworth." Desage only translated Eighty Days. The other story, Five Weeks In A Balloon, was translated by someone else. Who is P. Desage? No one knows! Look for the paper "Around the World in Eighty Changes" online for the scant information that's known about him. An unsolved mystery.
