These rod holders were recommended by our son. I purchased two a couple months back for my wife and me. They were easy to install in the boat and they are very easy to use. We traded or and installed additional bases in other locations in the boat. He used the other style base in his boat. Haven't found a style of rod that won't work in them yet. We especially like the easy rod insertion and removal as well as the height and rotation adjustments for different fishing situations. Great Product.

I have 6 of these on my boat now, 2 in the bow @ 90 deg, 2 off the rear side @ 90 deg & 2 off the stern straight back. I use lead line out the back at a low angle the 4 out the sides I run at about 45 deg angle up. All are on a 1" rail had to drill out the holes a bit to get ¼" bolts with nylon nuts on the rail. 5 plus years never lost a pole. Bang Bang Bang Snatch Yank & Net
