InSinkErator 3/4 Inch Standard Kitchen Drain Sink Flange in Brushed Stainless Steel - 74290D

Many people like me are opting to get deeper sinks when doing a kitchen remodel only to discover that deeper sinks drop the discharge port on our disposal units lower than the drain pipe where the P trap goes into the wall by up to 2 inches. Water flows downward so this causes the disposal to retain water, plug up and die out sooner than necessary. A shorter flange would raise the disposal up closer to the sink, thereby solving the water flow problem. Can you please make a disposal flange that's just about a half inch high? That would help a lot of people like me. I've compared several disposal models and it seems that ALL models have the same 6.5" distance from the top of the unit to the disposal's discharge port regardless of model or overall disposal size so the only other solutions is to (a) get a shallower sink or (b) lower the drain outlet in the wall, both of which are very costly and unappealing options after installing new cabinets. A shorter flange is therefore the most logical option for raising the disposal if it were only possible.
