Quality in question
I was surprised that the hose I received was not as nice as the one I replaced. The collar that attaches to the shower head is a little smaller than the original. I thought buying a Grohe hose for more than double would have been like the one I replaced.

Cheaply made versus the original shower hose.
I bought this item one week ago to replace the original shower hose that came with my shower kit 9 years ago. The quality is much less than the original hose. Cheaply made with lighter materials. After installation i found the shower head no longer fits snug in the holder resulting in the shower head falling out and one case struck a family member in the head. The water also has a strong chemical smell when coming out of the shower head. Bought this from a plumbing supply company. The box has Grohe labels to and looks legit.
