Mainstays 3-Shelf over-the-Toilet Bathroom Storage Unit Black Steel

My dumb self took longer than it should have to assemble it (haha). Maybe it was fatigue. The back is taller so I figured the longer poles went in the back. But they go in the front and then there is an extension that goes in the back. Also, be careful about matching the holes with the ones in the picture. They will help make sure the poles are lined up right-side up. The picture on the box plus the picture in the packaging help to create a sort of 3D model in the mind, since the instructions are a little confusing. The instructions have all the labeled poles, but out of all the poles, only 1 had a label when I got it. Images are definitely your friend here. What helped me is to tape the pictures to the wall in the bathroom. I got it mostly assembled and then did the top 2 shelves and the back part all while using those pictures. The toilet was too close to the wall to slide this shelf in position, so I had to assemble loosely then put the cross bar on the bottom once the shelf was in position then tighten everything down and bolt to the wall. If you don't bolt to the wall it is very wobbly even with tight screws. That's the nature of thin, long aluminum under a load. If I wasn't tired, it probably would have taken 30 minutes. Mine came with 2 pole caps which threw me off but are just end caps for the very top front. Once in place, it does look just like the picture. A nice addition to a toilet nook in a small bathroom with very limited space. I can fit 2 large rolls of toilet paper back to front. I've used the toilet many times with this shelf in place and never once felt cramped. Quite the opposite. It's nice to have what I need right there for whatever I'm doing in that area. If I had any suggestions for improvement in design, maybe a few a couple diagonal cross bars for structural stability in places where it can't be anchored to a wall. Some L plates or straight poles attached with a tapered end. Either way.

Was so incredibly easy to put together that my teenager did it. Great design for a smaller space bathroom. Also fit above my taller toilet. I like the sleek black look.
