"Outlaw" American Bronze Handmade Sculpture By Frederic Remington baby size 8.75"H x 6"L x 3.25"W

Frederic Remington’s 14th sculpture is a remarkable composition because the horse is balancing on one front leg which presented a challenge to show in a bronze. The bucking horse's rump is straight up in the air and the cowboy leans back, balancing himself in the saddle as he keeps his seat. The Outlaw is known as the real companion to The Bronco Buster. It is the teeter to The Bronco Buster’s totter, what comes up in one comes down in the other. To cast this complicated work in which the horse and rider are balanced on one front hoof in suspended animation, it is cast in the traditional "Lost Wax Process in 100% American bronze. A magnificent patina finish is hand-applied for highlights that create natural variations in texture and color and then hand-rubbed to bring out the awesome detail and highlights. The sculpture is then mounted on a fine marble base with an etched brass plate.
