It looked really beat up right out of the package. I doubt they did any actual refurbishing. It was probably used, returned, put right back in a box and resold as refurbished. I performed numerous tests on this router and my old c2300 after doing firmware updates and purchasing brand new Ethernet cables and getting a brand new modem from my Internet service provider. My old router that I was hoping to replace was actually slightly faster and had a much more stable connection.
