Good item for the money.

Yeah I did a straightforward. The old one came off and the new one went on without difficulty. I had very little trouble tweaking the gears to respond to the setting that was on the handle bar. It was well worth the money to get my sons bike economically repaired for him to ride it once again.

It works fine the install was easy but I would have liked some install printed directions and tips on the more complex adjustments of the cable and the high and low screw to get in perfect working order...I had to go to You tube to get that info...the hardware works great though.
