Good Idea, poor product

While the protective strips may well resist punctures if they are installed properly between the inside of the tire and the inner tube, most all but someone that installs them frequently, will find getting them to stay properly positioned while placing the tire on the rim extremely difficult and time consuming. I followed the directions carefully and the strips kept slipping to the side of the tire at on point or another as I was trying to mount the tire. After twenty minutes of trying,, I mounted the tire knowing full well that the strip was not positioned correctly. A very frustrating experience. The strips should be coated with a self stick adhesive so they would stay in place as you position them properly in the tire, then inserted the tube prior to finishing the tire mounting.
