Saris Traps Triple Track Inside Van Bike Fork Rack, 35" Specialty Track, Black

Once retired, I had a yearning to go on road trips to ride in new and scenic places. After 30 years of hoisting bicycles up to a roof rack on my sedan, it was time for a new car and a new approach to bicycle transport. I took my bicycle car shopping and wouldn't even go on a test drive if the bicycle didn't fit in the vehicle. (Note: SUVs with extended moon roofs give up several inches of height in the cargo area.) After I selected a mid-sized SUV, the next challenge was securing the bicycles inside. I live in a large, bicycle-savvy city, but the bicycle stores here were unaware of the Saris Traps Triple Track. I am fortunate to have a lot of friends who cycle and it was a friend who pointed the way to Saris. My friend first put fork mounts on a 2x6 but found that the 2x6 shifted around too much. He discovered the triple track online and has had several years experience with it. Based on his recommendation, I placed my order. I have now been on two road trips with the triple track and cannot rave about it enough. I show it off to everyone every chance I get. I am thrilled with how easy it is with just a crescent wrench to change the position of the fork mounts. We usually create a triangle with our bikes, forks apart and rear wheels together. When more luggage space is needed, we put the bikes close together in the center of the cargo space. I did not buy the wheel mounts. Instead we got Trans It wheel bags at Performance Bicycle. The bags make it easy to tuck the wheels in between the two bikes. The triple track is a brilliant idea and I hope it makes it's way west soon.

This was just what I was looking for. I did have to mount it with 2 screws in my truck bed. Rack kept sliding. After I secured it, it's perfect.
