Compu-fire Dual Cool 90A Alternator, Upright Engines, Standard Finish, 58620 is a direct bolt on replacement for the AL82 Bosch alternator, and many VW Enthusiasts use these to power their high powered lights and/or stereo systems to prevent battery drain! If you are converting a car that currently has a generator, you'll need a new alternator stand which is shorter, to fit the fatter alternator.
