I wasn't sure about buying furniture that required assembly for the first time. I was also concerned that the furniture would look too small next to our couch and chairs. However, I could not find anything that I really liked in the furniture stores. Since the Scarlet collection was so reasonably priced, I ordered an end table in the Scarlett collection just to check it out. I was surprisingly pleased. My son-in-law was able to assemble it pretty quickly and told me that it was good quality. He was especially impressed with the shelves and hardware. I ordered another end table and the square coffee table. They looked great with our other furniture and the size of the room. Finally, I ordered two book shelves to go on either side of the fireplace. I am very happy with the collection. Everyone who has visited over the holidays has raved about the new furniture, commenting that the room looks “fresh and crisp,” “cozy and beautiful.” I am used to dusting and polishing wood furniture, but this furniture only requires a quick wipe-down. I don't have to work as hard to clean it. The wood is waterproof and perfect for my young grandchildren. I also appreciate the extra storage, which I needed.
