I wanted a simple, sleek minimalistic design for a guest room. These are small lamps, 18" tall. The shade is 10" wide with a solid base of 5". I love the touch to turn on feature and it gives you 3 options as to choosing the brightness. It gives the room a soft light, nothing very bright. This is perfect if you are reading on a tablet, but may not be bright enough for someone wanting to read a book in bed. The USB and plug in ports are so convenient for charging electronic devices. They were shipped very compactly in a box, but no issues unboxing it and assembling. I was pleased that the shades did not require unfolding, etc. like a lot of shipped lamps are. This was a perfect choice for me and I think they are high quality and a good buy.

Love the lamps. Love the 2 USB and one electrical outlet (ac). I like the bulbs that come with it but the shades are only held on loosely by the bulb and are constantly needing to be adjusted. If the shade screwed on or was even tighly held by the bulb, I would give it 5 stars. I still love this, but wind from shutting the bedroom door will move the shade, so it may not be good in a living area or place with small kids.
