My kids loved it right out of the box. No assembly needed - great for fast fun when giving as a gift! Weird battery setup, but it charges fast and lasts for a long time of playing! We also like that the remote is kind of large so it won't get lost easily. The actual dog is smaller than I expected (didn't pay attention to the measurements) but I actually like that! It is easier to store when not in use! I think it sounds like a robot but it did make our grandpa think the real family dog was outside barking to come back inside! Hah! Volume control is a big plus! We are happy with the purchase!
