Compendious Introduction on Study of the Scriptures (Paperback)

THIS Work, which has occupied the author's best attention and labors for more than hurts' years, is offered to the biblical student and to divines, as a comprehensive Manual of Sacred Literature, digested from the labors of the most eminent biblical critics, both British and Foreign. Its plan, and the manner in which it is executed, have been honored with the approbation of the most distinguished scholars and critics in Great Britain, as well as in North America, where for years, it has become a "Text Book" in the Universities and other Theological Seminaries of England, Scotland, and Ireland. Thomas Hartwell Horne (1780-1862) was a theologian and researcher who's Introduction to the Critical Study and Knowledge of the Holy Scriptures set a high standard for all future works on the subject. This presentation is his condensed version of the four volume effort Introduction to the Critical Study and Knowledge of the Holy Scriptures. To date, there is no other work which has achieved this monumental placement. This work remains the fundamental basis for similar, although smaller efforts along the Christian Apologetics.
