This knife was listed number three on Consumer Reports knife ratings, up against competitors costing double or triple the price. New out of the box razor sharp, good balance, comfortable in the hands. Only caution, be careful, shaving level sharp new. Also a bit larger then some Chef knives so small hands you might want to see one in person before purchase.
