The special silver ion–treated sponge applies oils and creams smoothly, evenly, and consistently onto wood surfaces, reducing waste or mess. The John Boos Mystery Oil and John Boos Block Board Cream are made from all-natural ingredients, ensuring they’re safe for food-preparation surfaces. Both products penetrate deep into the grain of the wood to protect and revitalize the wood fibers, preventing the drying, splitting, and cracking of cutting boards, bowls, or kitchen utensils. Instructions: Apply an even coat of Boos Mystery Oil and Boos Block Board Cream to all surfaces of your wood cutting board using the applicator. Allow the Mystery Oil and Board Cream to fully penetrate the wood fibers overnight, then wipe off any excess oil and cream. Apply additional oil and cream to any visibly dry spots. Use at least once per month (depending on the cutting board use and household conditions) and more often in dry or arid climates. Do not overoil your cutting board.
