Great product, well made, and reasonably priced. It's pretty fool-proof, but there are a couple of ways a one could even melt their bucket: 1. The thermostat is calibrated in Celcius, and, if you think in Fahrenheit and cannot Google for "Fahrenheit to Celsius" nor apply the formula (°F - 32) × 5/9 = °C, this is not for you. 2. This relies on the contents of the bucket to conduct the heat from the heating elements to the thermostat, In order for the thermostat to measure the temperature of the contents (and not melt the bucket), you must make sure that the contents of the bucket come up at least to the top of the heating strip, or that the heating strip is low enough on the bucket that its top is no higher than the level of the contents. If you need something that will heat the contents of a nearly empty bucket, this is not for you.
