Not breathable. It's a solid foam pad with bumps.
Very disappointed in this product, it offers no air flow because the material is not breathable. This is simply a foam pad with bumps on one side and mesh covering it. It made me very sweaty, way worse than the fabric of the car seat alone. It is comfortable as a soft foam pad, but don't expect it to feel airy or cooling. I opened the fabric mesh to show a photo of the foam pad.

Within 2weeks the strap that is supposed to hold the upper section to the top of the seat started unraveling and now I am having to tie it together in order for the cushion to be properly applied for it to maintain any type of comfort!
