'sprocket seizing up' issue

About 'sprocket seizing up' issues: I usually use my 450 with 18" bar to prepare fire wood, just now and then to fall or process whole trees. A few times I had the bar pinched after which I found that the chain wouldn't rotate any more, like if the brake was on. After inspecting the situation closely I found that wood chips had accumulated between the nose sprocket and the chain and stuffed between the sprocket's teeth, blocking totally the rotation of the sprocket. After clearing the chips the nose sprocket was free to rotate. In my cases it weren't seizures due to lack of oiling. Thought it would helpfull to share this on this forum.

Sprocket seized up

I have only put light use on this bar (doing some tree trimming around my yard) and the sprocket has seized up tight! Super disappointed. Going back to traditional type bar with a grease port so I can prevent this.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Maybe I am stupid, but I have gone through three bars so far. I found the issue is the nose sprocket keeps getting frozen up. The only fix is to add grease every 15-30 mins of use. For a maintenance free, or at least reduced maintenance, this bar is unreliable and too expensive. I am looking for alternative solutions.
