The Pennington, Locking Top, Earth Smart Gazebo style Wild Bird Feeder is a no waste feeder; the base is designed to divert seed to port openings to eliminate seed build up. This feeder is easy to fill and easy to clean with a wide seed chamber opening. It includes a chew proof cable and it keeps seed fresh with drainage holes at each port opening. The Pennington Earth Smart Locking Top Wild Bird Feeder is designed to feed both small and large birds. Attracts favorites like Chickadees, Cardinals, Goldfinches and more! The top & base are made of 100% recycled materials.

Compared to other bird feeders this one is of excellent quality for the price. I like the fact that it holds 6 pounds of seed. I have had more birds hanging around this feeder than any other I have had. It is not unusual for have 15-20 birds at one time. Will definitely be buying another.

fabulous design and size
these hold a LOT of seed (then you don't have to restock so often), and for the most part, the seed is well protected from the elements. You do have to clean out the troughs occasionally so any rain/snow moisture can drain away, or the seed inside will get wet and stay wet which equals either a frozen block or mold. I hang these from a tree and pretty high so the deer don't demolish them and with squirrel baffles to stop the squirrels descending upon theme.
