Vortex Optics Viper Rifle Scope 6.5-20x 50mm Dead-Hold BDC Reticle Matte Black

I now have 4 of these Vipers out of my collection of 50 scopes. Although The Sightron SIII I just purchased and reviewed, might have the slightest (smallest possible) edge over the Viper. The Vortex has become my 'standard'. The Viper is as good or slightly better than my new Leupold Mark 4 (4.5-14X50 LR/T). I know it's difficult to believe, but this was the collective opinion of all my shooting buddies at work, also. I do NOT do a bunch of tracking up and down, shooting the box, etc. I'm in charge of a private range where a lot of new shooters fire their first high powered rifle, usually a 22 centerfire. We sight the rifles in and leave them. The Vipers are just flat awesome!!! 1/2 the price of the SIII and 1/4 the price of the MK4!!!!!!! Yes, I have some FMs and Barska, too, but they are not in the same league. Love the Vipers, big time! ron

Very clear, solid, put together 30mm scope that has a lot of the features of scopes 3 times the price. Mounted on my .22-.250 and went from 3/4" groups to sub 1/2" groups. Does not come with rings or sunshade and has screw-on lens caps that do have 68 MOA of elevation adjustment, which the turrets can be updated on Vortex Optics website to match your rifle's caliber ballistics. Hope to try on my 30-06, once I update the scope bases on it... With Vortex's V.I.P warranty, I don't think you can go wrong with this scope
