VGA adapter works but is not the best

The DPCD (DisplayPort Configuration Data) reported by the DP2VGA3 says it is DisplayPort 1.1, 2.7 Gbps per lane, 2 lanes. I guess StarTech is allowed to claim DisplayPort 1.2 since DisplayPort 1.1 is part of 1.2? Some other VGA adapters use DisplayPort 1.2, 5.4 Gbps per lane, 2 lanes but they may use a USB-C connector. Maybe StarTech could make a DisplayPort male to USB-C female adapter so I can use these other faster VGA adapters or any other USB-C display port adapters. I would prefer adapter makers to report max pixel clock at 24 bits per pixel in order to make it easier to compare adapters. They should also report the pixel types they support.
