For sleeping, lounging or cover up for swim suit.

This is very soft and it is not super heavy weight, nor is it light weight. It is the happy medium and it is not see through. It fit a little big, but no it didn't shrink yet. Very comfortable to wear for lounging or sleeping. I usually like to wear pj shorts or capris pajamas and this is also a great cover up for that also. Very comfortable, but if you use flannel sheets it will wrap around you. I also am going to use it for a swim suit cover up because I like how it covers up better.
