Born in South LA

If the people of South LA want to know who their leaders and luminaries are and were, they should turn to this book. Born in South LA documents the contributions of inspiring people who were born, lived or died in South LA. The collections of biographies and profiles contained in this book make you want to do even more research. There are so many people I would like to know more about, especially the remarkable women like Hadda Brooks, who hosted her own TV show, and Georgia Ann Robinson 1st African-American female LAPD officer. This is a great book for children and young adults to learn from, as well. Having read it, I will share it.
