Dimmer function problem

Bought two mirrors to replace very large 1990's full vanity wall mirror. The mirrors look beautiful, but electrician can't get the recommended magnetic dimmer switch to work. I've got an email out to Hayneedle for info on how to get my dimmable mirrors to dim on lowest setting without flickering. Electrician spoke with customer service at Paris Mirror who said the Lutron dimmer switch he had would work. It did not.
