It's retro, classic, sophisticated and fun, all in one depending on how your decor fits around it. I used my light in a bedroom, but it would look amazing in just about any room. It was packaged very well, and easy to open the box. It includes clear and concise instructions. It's a very adjustable light, I chose to have it very close to the ceiling, due to my ceiling height, but think with the adjustable chain it would look amazing lowered. The bulb is a gorgeous milky white color, suitable for any color scheme. The black metal is very complimentary. My husband installed it pretty simply, and fairly quickly, and he did ask for help with the bulb, an extra set of hands was helpful holding the bulb when it was being tightened. Everything you need to install the light was included in the box and installation was pretty easy. The light kit includes quite a bit of chain for your desired length but I have low ceilings so I used just one link and it's perfect. I used 2 75 watt bulbs and the illumination is gorgeous through the milk glass. I love the look of the pewter hardware against the milk glass. It's a very ornate design and fits perfectly with my home decor. I'm extremely happy with my light
