Illicium, Florida Sunshine, is part of the Southern Living Plant Collection. Sometimes call anise plant, Florida Sunshine is an evergreen plant with fragrant, chartreuse golden foliage. A beautiful plant year-round, in the fall it turns a bright yellow, adding seasonal interest. Illicium prefers partially shady to shady spots. It will grow to 5-feet tall and 3-feet wide. Florida Sunshine is a lovely accent plant or as a plant to add color contrast and a different texture to other evergreens in the landscape. For healthy shrubs water until plants are established.
