Peels off paint when removed

I wish I would have read more online reviews of Frog tape before purchasing and using this product. In theory painting tape in shapes is an amazing idea. However the reality of using this tape is horrible. I used the basic green frog tape to create horizontal lines in a bedroom. When the tape was removed so was the underlying paint, all the way down along with portions of drywall paper as well. This made for quite a bit of time consuming intricate touching up. Thinking maybe the paint was inferior or the green tape was just too strong, I thought I would try my luck with the yellow shaped tape. The yellow is advertised as delicate. HA! Once again, when the tape was removed, so was the underlying paint and portions of drywall paper. I was able to salvage the design with a couple hours of touch up work. I have never had this issue with basic blue painters tape. I will never again use Frog painters tape of any color or design. Lesson learned! The only reason for 2 stars is the great idea of shaped painters tape. This tape would probably work well on other craft paint projects where the tape is applied to an unpainted item then painted over.
