This is the perfect size for a lunch box and it is easy for kids to open without leaking. I can prepare a healthy hot lunch in the morning and the send the littles off. This makes it easy for them to have their favorite meals for lunch. It also keeps the fruit or salad nice and crisp. There is also no browning in the fruit. I love this because trying to explain to a five year old that the fruit isn't old is no longer a battle I have to have. Great Little Kids Thermos

Works really well for kids school lunches. I preheat the thermos with boiling water for 3-5 minutes before I dump out the water, and then add the lunch for that day. So far, the lunch has been warm/hot every single time we have used the thermos (that is after approximately 4-5 hours of being at school). For the price and how well it has performed, I highly recommend. (Plus it looks very nice in person).
