Cost effective and capable mobile workstation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've found the P14S Gen 2 to be a cost-effective and capable mobile workstation. Although quite capable, it doesn't feel bulky or awkward. While it's noticeably thicker than my T490s, the accompanying boost in performance makes it worthwhile. I purchased the Core i7-1165G7 variant configured with 32 GB of RAM. The fan can be a bit loud, but keeping the power setting at "balanced" tends to keep the fan quieter while still offering plenty of performance for most tasks. Heavy AutoCAD workflows tend to result in more significant heat and accompanying fan noise. If you work with damanding applications all day, you might want something a bit more robust. For me, the P14S Gen 2 is everything I needed in a workstation.

Thin and light for Technical Users

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything that you like about Thinkpads with slightly more oomph and expandability Pros: - Keyboard - Ports - Build quality - Expandability Cons: - Fan noise. Fan runs a lot to cool graphics adapter and it's at a pitch that even old ears like mine can hear.
