Probably should be for kids.

The chair is nice looking but the backrest does not return without pulling it up, but it does have a lock to stop it in a position comfortable to you. The footrest pulls straight out from under the seat with no adjustment, a little awkward for me, 45 deg. would have been nice. The seat is very hard, not much padding but I have chair pads to cover that and the little lumbar pillow and the headrest pillow are a nice touch. Lacking any real comfort may be just what I need to not spend too much time at the computer. But it sure is cool looking.
