I have not installed them on a feeder yet, but I pulled them from the box and I like them MUCH better than the old style that I bought about 3 or 4 years ago. With the old style, I still have racoons climbing up the legs of feeders to get to the spinner on the feeder. The tips on the old style come to a point, but they are not real sharp, therefore not a good enough deterrent. The new style comes to 2 VERY sharp points that I believe will be a much better deterrent for the racoons. I will be using heavy leather gloves to install these bad boys!
