Made in USA. Reusable. Perfect for home maple syrup production, the Maple Tapper filter set offers you the filters you need to take you from tree tapping to syrup making with ease. The kit contains one Food Grade, cone shaped, 1 quart synthetic Heavy duty filter, and 2 Food Grade, cone shaped polyester fiber Pre-filters. These filters are made to be used over and over and will last many seasons with the proper use and care. Filters used in the maple syrup process should be washed with HOT WATER ONLY. Never use soap to clean your filters as it will affect the flavor of your finished product. Never wring out, twist or stretch out your filters in the cleaning process as this will rupture the fibers of your filter and ruin it. It is recommended to run the filters through the washing machine in the hot setting with no soap or run it through the dishwasher with no soap. For best results let filters air dry. The heavy duty filter works best when slightly damp as the syrup will pass through it more easily. One final pointer is that the syrup must be 180 degrees or hotter, as cold syrup will not strain through the filter.
