Barska Gladiator Zoom 10-30x50mm Porro Prism Binoculars (Black)

We live on a hill and use this binocular to bird watch and get a better view of our surroundings, like the hang gliders that fly close by. It was very helpful to go to the Barska website and view the video on how to set up the focus. The 10x is the standard viewing setting and once focused everything was crisp and clear. As one went to the higher settings(20x-30x)it was harder and harder to keep the view from shaking, which is normal. The only way we could fix the shaking was to brace ourselves in a chair, which worked pretty good. A tripod would also work, but I understand we would have to purchase an extra piece to attach to the binoculars. I read the reviews and some said the lens caps would not stay on, but found out that there is rubber around the eye pieces which will fold down to make it easier to use if you wear glasses, but when folded the caps will not longer fit, so have to unfold the rubber when you want the caps on (which is easy to do). We thought the price was good and so was the quality. We are very happy with our purchase.
