I work in a profession where I can be on my feet for up to 20 hours and wearing big heavy work boots. I have also had several injuries, so when someone suggested compression sox I was skeptical, very skeptical. But, I am not afraid to admit I was wrong. These sox are thin, comfortable, and I think filled with a little magic dust. Since I have started wearing them I have noticed a decrease in swelling, soreness, and an increase in longevity before I feel fatigue. They are warmer or maybe have less absorbancy than regular sox, but overall well worth it in the long run. I am sold.

My wife and I often travel long distances by car. We both have some ankle swelling, during these trips, but she does more than I do. I can often walk off most of it by stopping for a short walk every two hours. On a recent 1500 mile road trip my wife suffered some lite swelling but nothing like she might have without the socks. I had no swelling at all on the same trip. I was surprised at how comfortable that the socks were. I expected the to feel binding after a time but they were comfortable to wear for excess of 12 hours nonstop. I did not find washing obstructions but defaulted to cold water, gentle cycle, and hanging to dry. It may be too soon to know for the long run but the socks held their shape in one washing by this method.
