To be honest, I don't buy these for a vehicle. I have numerous heat/air vents in my home. Instead of buying those thick filters that seem to trap the heat and air and not just dust and debris, I use the Downy 3X size dryer sheets, and then place one of the clips on the inside part of the vent. The house smells glorious all the time! Great cheap little trick, especially when candles are so costly and sprays and wax melts seem to fade so quickly.
