Best hummingbird feeder for a crowd!
This feeder holds half a gallon of nectar. It is plastic so it isn't as heavy as it would otherwise be. We have so many hummingbirds they are emptying two of these feeders every day and they prefer the flower style on these strongly to any other design we have. The white flowers pop out with a firm pull. The red tube with the perch on it also pops off with a firm pull. We use a pipe cleaner to keep it clean inside the tubes in the base of the reservoir. It is heavy when full! Needs a sturdy hanger. Make sure it is properly assembled, the base of the feeder is screwed to the top of the reservoir, the reservoir is screwed firmly to the bottle and the cap is screwed tightly to the other end of the bottle and all will go well. The threads are stiff and it needs watching to keep everything square so it doesn't get cross threaded. This means it will last a lot longer in regular use. Love it!

Good product but needs modifications to work
I have been feeding hummingbirds for over 12 years (approx 40 hummies in my garden at any one time) and have tried practically every type of feeder on the market. This feeder has the best capacity, but the feeding ports are poorly designed. The white plastic “stamens” get in the way when birds try to feed and the built-in perch in the flower is useless. I cut out some of plastic stamens so the birds could get to the feeding hole (which I had to enlarge) and added perches at each flower site. This allowed the birds to feed naturally. It was worth making the modifications to get a high capacity feeder the birds can use.
