TCL Q85H Q Class 7.1.4 Channel Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos, Wireless Subwoofer, and Wireless Surround Speakers - Black

I did a lot of research when trying to choose a multi-channel home theater system with Dolby Atmos under the $500 range. No, you will not get "true" Dolby Atmos sound through this system, as it virtualizes the Atmos effect. The only way to do that is to spend a boatload of money and have dedicated speakers in the appropriate positions and a receiver capable of producing Atmos sound. Having said that, this system does a fantastic job in creating the effect, especially considering the price point. So far, I have watched several movies mixed in Atmos (watch Jurrasic Park and thank me later) and listened to some Atmos audio mixes (Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon is stellar) and this sound system actually surprised me. I did not expect that much bass and immersion at this price point! Voices can be a little muddy at lower volumes, but I played around with the limited settings and found a happy medium for my small living room. And if you want to crank it up, this thing booms! And it plays nice with my TCL Q7 tv. Setup was a breeze, too! If you're an audiophile and have the extra cash to burn, then you may not be happy with this system. If you're on a budget, like me, and just want to create a movie theater experience in your own home, then I cannot recommend the TCL Q85H enough!
