Door lock actuator

When they quit, there's only one solution: get one of these, put it in, then forget it. All the doors on a Suburban (late 90s) use the same part number--I used this one on the rear door. You have to drill out the OEM rivets, and replace them with some 6mm bolts (not included). The hardest part of the job is actually getting the lower door panel off without breaking the plastic fasteners--best of luck with that!

It still works after a few days since installation! I replaced the right rear actuator. The job took me about 3 hours but I could do the job again in 30 minutes. (Tip: If you have 82-year-old thin skin on your hands and wrists and take Coumadin/Warfarin, wear gloves!)

The part I was looking for, was difficult to find , when I found it with some other vendors was more expensive. I ordered from PartsGeek, they send it very quickly, very well packed and at a very reasonable price.
