A bit too complicated

I bought this for my nephew who is 8 and thought it would be perfect based on the age range and content, but it's honestly a bit confusing to figure out at first. There are quite a lot of parts to put together and use so it's nothing something you can dive into right away. I think would be better for older kids. Also you have to download a large app in your phone. The instructions could be a bit clearer, too.
