Roy Hamilton was known as 'The Golden Voice' and forged a hugely successful career with Epic Records in the 1950's and early 1960's as an R&B and ballad singer. This is the only CD collection that properly covers Hamilton's post-Epic recordings, featuring the best of his output during the 1960s for the MGM, RCA Victor and AGP labels as well as a rare one off for Capitol. Many of the songs feature the production prowess of legends Chips Moman & Tommy Cogbill, Bert Keyes and Leiber & Stoller.
