Originally released in 2000 on the Foxhaven label with practically no distribution, saxophonist Virginia Mayhew's critically-acclaimed quot;No Wallsquot; was chosen as one of the Top Ten CDs of the Year by Jazziz Magazine and Cadence Magazine. This creative straight-ahead jazz album features master pianist Kenny Barron, Ingrid Jensen, Harvie S., Allison Miller, Adam Cruz and others. The CD includes Mayhew originals and compositions by Ellington, Coltrane, Kenny Barron, Dave Holland, and Harvie S. Latin-flavored tunes make up nearly half of the album.
