ACME Brantley II Queen over Queen Metal Bunk Bed in Sandy Black

I spent months searching for a sturdy Queen/Queen bunk bed. We preferred a wood bed,but the cost was too much. I was worried this metal bunkbeds would not be sturdy enough. We are very happy with our purchase. It is very sturdy. The metal is thicker than I expected. They hardly move once put together and we have 3 kids good going up and down them. They look really nice. It will take several hours to put together, especially if your kids are trying to help. I am glad we didn't hesitate. The ladder is very uncomfortable. we put pipe padding around them. But we are still happy with our purchase. We do not regret buying these. We are loving them. Up close the color is a dark grey,not black. Came in two separate boxes that are heavy. The company will call to set up a delivery date and want you present for the delivery. However,they didn't let me know they had dropped them off or ask for a signature. So that may be something to clarify with the delivery company,if you don't want your bed left near the garage door. We used mattresses we had. Both about 10 inches. No issues with that on the bottom bed. But on the top bunk you really need the 6 inch mattress,if you want the guardrail to work properly. For now, we used a kids bedrail we had and put it between the mattress and bunk rail to keep our young kids from rolling off. These are a terrific buy for Q/Q bunks.
